We are sorry to announce that Dr Hirmiz has left the surgery in order to spend more time with his young family and continue his work with Southampton Commissioning Group. We wish him all the very best for the future.  We are actively recruiting a new doctor to replace him and in the meantime we have booked locum doctors for the next few months to help cover his patients.  The remaining GPs have all got full lists and are unable to accept any additional patients at present.

Electronic Prescribing has now arrived in the surgery! If you have recently nominated a pharmacy for your prescriptions you will now find that when you ring or write in to request a repeat prescription it will go straight to your nominated pharmacy with no need for you to come into the surgery to collect it. Please ask Reception or your preferred pharmacy for more details.

We have introduced on-line booking for appointments and the ability to view a short summary of your medical record showing any allergies and medication.  Please go to

This will allow you to register to view your records summary and for on-line appointment booking. You will need to bring ID into the surgery when you come for your next appointment to enable the system to continue to let you book on-line.

If you have an emergency when the surgery is closed please telephone 111

Following feedback from patients and recognising the difficulties there have been over the last year in accessing a GP appointment quickly and simply, we have made changes to our appointment system that came into effect at the beginning of 2015.

We have made more appointments available to book on the day without having to speak to a doctor on the phone first.  We are also working to try and bring the wait for a routine appointment down from the current three to four weeks, and to have the appointment diary available longer in advance.

Once the on the day appointments have been used, if your problem is not medically urgent you may be asked to phone back on another day. We will always see medically necessary patients that day, but the decision as to whether the problem is urgent for that day may be referred to the doctor. As always, if you want to see a specific GP for a non-urgent problem you may have to wait umtil their next routine appointment.

THE NEXT TARGET TRAINING AFTERNOON IS WEDNESDAY, 9 SEPTEMBER 2015 AND THE SURGERY WILL BE CLOSED FROM 1.30 PM. Should you need urgent medical attention or advice during this period please dial 111.  Calls to the NHS111 service are free from landlines and mobiles
